Took this a few weeks ago and just now decided to post it.Not the sharpest picture but was my first attempt at getting an ant. This flower and one next to it had at least ten ants moving around on them and I only seemed to be able to get one at a time. Those little things can move!!
Border added levels and resized.

Enjoy!!!

Hi Christan,

Eventhough the flower is cropped by the frame, but you did great composing it with focus on the ant . . I do have difficulties similar with you in getting all object in focus . . but I believe you want to present the ant enjoying the sweetness of the flower and you did great capturing it . .
Lovely image. .
Enjoy your week end my friend . .

Hi Christan,
The picture appears a bit noisy to me, or did you do that on purpose? I think the small f-stop (f/3.4) didn't help you in respect of fully sharpnes on the detaiuls of the centre -you were close by?-
Anyway I like the composition, the giant ant is well seen in the heart of the flower. You made a nice presentation of this scene, a striking frame.

Beautiful capture. Good composition, sharpness and details.
I like the close crop putting all the importance on the center and the ant.

Yummy! Nice dinner for an ant! There is a little noise around the ant probably from sharpening! You might suggest that Otto get you some fancy photo program for your birthday...hee hee........but DON'T let him buy you a free one! HAHAHA!

Hello Christan

Beautiful look of this flower, their details are beautiful.
I like the addition of this intruding ant in his nucleus.
His frame in transparent black pleases in a lot.
Congratulations

Hi Christan
I'm always amazed at the things I have learned from TL and how Tl has opened my eyes... Like I NEVER knew ants pollinated flowers or was part of that process. sorry for the rant

Nice details.. I can not see the noise.. but that my be my screen....
