Panoramic view of the Lethbridge River Valley with the High Level Bridge and Fort Whoop-Up.
This is my first try with the new camera Christan gave me for Christmas, as well as my first try at photo stitch with the supplied Canon software. I merged 3 pictures, then levels and saturation adjustments.
While looking over the large picture I found a surreal little detail in the center: a bicyclist appears to be chasing himself(check the workshop for a close up view)! This gives rise to thoughts of possibilities how this feature can be exploited in future. Possibilities are endless (I am talking to myself, just one of them, lol).

Hola Otto,
maravillosa LP,
bello pov. y compo.
detalles excelentes y buen formato.
saludos

This is great Otto, lovely panoramic view with awsome colour and nice crop..... superb.

Regards Mark :)

Hi Otto,
Nice panarama, how many shots did you use to produce this one I wonder, I like the POV that you have chosen here, the only thing In My Opinion is that the bridge is not straight and slopes off to the left a little.
Regards Andy

I see you have added that it was three shots, excellent PP work,

You got a BIG present for Christmas eh?? Hey, that's worth keeping Christan Around for another year eh? HAHAHA! This is super nice! Love the long crop Otto!!
B-)

Hi Otto, very well done with your new camera and the merging of 3 photos, seamless.
This is a nice view on the bridge.
You don't seem to have much snow.
Good balance of light/shadow.

Take care, Yan :)

PS.Greetings from Poland!!=Pozdrowienia z Polski!

Ciao Otto.. question really interesting for me is.. how to post a large version of a shot?!?... i never understood!!
this one is a great landscape!!.. excellent pov.. and perfect merge of these 3 shots (funny to look at detail of bicyclist in WS)!!
i like details, light and colours.. wonderful post my friend!! and congratulation for the new camera.. i understand what u feel about it!! ;))
ciao Marco

Excellent Otto my forest scene should have been a pano but I lost the plot with the ratio. Good colour and detail in both sized images. One pano I may put up I had a large truck crossing the bridge. Luckily for overlap he wasn't chasing himself :). TFS,
David

Many thanks for your comment on ‘Brown Eyes’...the hose is safe he knows he can play with the water.

Good scene & pano. Nice first try. I like the cyclist - kind of like a doppleganger.

Hi Otto,
What a superb panorama, the large posting shows it much better than this small one, and I would have chosen for a black frame in stead of this blue one. But regarding the LP; stunning my friend!
Sher gutt gemacht, Fabelhaft :-)
Hans

Good shot who have the curious effect to contradict myself. I enjoy it for some subtilitys. It's near the condition of march were i find everything is ugly by here. No vegetation, dirt, death nature, mud, dirty snow :)
But here sky, road and bridge structure balance that in a pleasant way!
Good observation!

The possibilities are endless! I looked at the large version and found the seams. They are oh so difficult to eliminate. Did you get a chance to set the camera on manual when you took these 3 photos. That way the lighting should be continuous across the stitched product. This is something I learned by trial and error myself. TFS. K2

Hi Otto,
Fine panoramic view
The blue frame adds to the cool weather conditions shown
But maybe a thin white stripe for separation will improve?
Ruud

Hello Otto
May I say: Wow!
and second the
*Silver Tulip Award*
for this fine creation!
Evenso the WS is usefull in the whole context .
The Camera present of Christan is well spent and same for the ''Photo stich' program of Canon. I have it too and you make me realise to use that more often!
Otto .. just excellent ..Congrats
John
ps

The colour and detail in this image is stunning and your “stitching” is perfect. Nice Christmas gift. Lovley the composition with the road taking us into the image. Super job.
Regards
Wanda

Hello Otto,
This bridge is an interesting construction, and this is a new perspective for me!
The distant shots to include surroundings work well, and the post processing seems well done...
Greetings,
Pablo -

Great panoramic shot - lots of good details to keep the viewer interested and the road leads the eye into the scene perfectly.
Thanks for sharing
Mark
