It started to snow heavily yesterday.
"Lets go take some pictures", she said. "Where do you want to go?" ..... "River-bottom?" ..... "Well, OK, but this time, lets not take any more pictures of the bridge....." ....."OK" ....
So there we are, in the River-bottom, Indian Battle Park, Lethbridge at the Helen Schuler Coulee Center. But wherever you point the camera, it's almost impossible to NOT have the High Level Bridge in it. At 5,327.625 feet long (1.6km) and 314 feet high(96 meters) the structure dominates the landscape and it is almost impossible to take pictures there without the bridge in it.
Here is Christan's post from the other side and almost beneath it, emphasizing the height, titled "Winter Wonderland".
It was very cold, and by the time we got back to the car, her legs were beet red.

Nice lines flowing through this with the shape of the snow & dry grass. Well seen.

hi otto, nice winter shot with a good mood created by the mist, good composition too, well done, thanks, scott

Ho Otto:
This makes me want to be here and I can feel the cold:)
Excellent details and composition!

Impressive colours here Otto. Lovely softer detail and the sweep of that bridge adds a good diagonal. TFS,
David

Many thanks for your comment on ‘Tasmanian Sunsets III’, I am coming to grips with the powerlines. Our last house had a balcony which looked out over the North Esk Valley towards where we now live, perfect for sunsets.

Hello Otto,
At least you have some snow!
Tonight I will sit down to watch some cross country skiing (WC, Canmore) from Canada, I guess snow is an advanatage...
I like the composition with the tree and the yellow grass popping up from the snow!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Beautiful capture.
Well, you ALMOST missed the bridge :-).

Great shot of the misty bridge suspended in the air like that. I love the soft colours in the foreground and of course the lovely misty background. Very interesting point of view. You have caught the cold feel very well indeed.

Wanda

Haha, your note made me laugh, you're a good story teller :))

Imposing bridge, isn't it!
Good landscape image of winter and the greyish-snowy sky

Take care, Yan :)

Greetings Otto,I would have been content just viewing these wonderful grasses, it is a prairie image to me,I also like the inclusion of the s curve of the path & of its continuation in the background.I looked at the notes & that is some special bridge.TFS
