What an interesting shot!
You have provided super details with very well composed shot!

I wonder if this tick is spreading the virus that is affecting bees this year. There is a definite decline in their numbers due to a virus (or bacteria!)

Well Christian you have to bee so happy with your new camera, when you capture an image such as this. I can clearly see the tick, but I can also see a wonderful composition with beautiful colours and details. I love all the pollen on the bee and on the flower. I think this is just an awesome, artistic shot. Congratulations.
