Found this guy on the ground next to me as I was taking pictures of pelicans in the riverbottom. Could not resist switching my lens and taking a few shots of him. I hope you will all enjoy!!

Hi Christan

Well it's a brave thing, taking these bold steps into the world of macro photography. It's definitely beyond my abilities.

Some incredible patterns on the body of this one.

I'm not entirely sure that all of it is properly sharp, maybe it's just me, although a smaller aperture might have helped. From my observations, macros are often captured at apertures of f/16 or smaller. You may need to bump up the ISO but I believe will be rewarded with generally better detail?

Just my observations, I may be wrong.
