[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
As I walked across the University Bridge today, I noticed and liked the shadows and patterns across the walkway.
I had just passed a bunch of people - and was happy to have a clear unobstructed view after they were past.
I boosted the contrast considerably to really darken the shadows.

Hi Trudy,
Very beautiful image!
I like these broken lines which make more dynamic this great perspective towards the blue sky. Very good balance! Bravo! Annie

Hi Trudy,
An interesting shot. Well seen and captured.
Sunil

Hi Trudy,
Well observed. Contrast makes it a fine image even like the perspective view. Try next time to create a lead in of one of the many lines it would enhance the picture in my opinion. Anyway a great idea, resulting in a special picture!
Hans

Nice POV, good to get down low like this and catch the shapes and silhouettes.. I like the high contrast, as you say it works well to darken the shadow.

Cheers
David

You know you're a Photographer when the shadows of a railing prompt you to stop and get down on the ground! Good lead-in, particularly from the lower right.
I like the simple, white frame for this, too.
Rew

Hi Trudy,
A wonderful contre-jour capture with a nice play with light and shadows.
Beautiful lead-in path with marvelous graphical patterns!
An intelligent composition in a vertical format to increase DOF!
Well done,
Regards,

Francis Xavier

Hi Trudy

Superb graphism, with nice repetition of the shadows from the sidelighting. Good sharpness, & wonderful use of diminishing linear perspective & vanishing point. Tfs!

Hi Trudy,
Very creative! Thanks for the note! And yes, I can see the shadows are dark! TFS. Imelda

Hi Trudy
Well seen. Your added contrast really emphasizes the repeating patterns.
Phil

Hi, Trudy -
Great eye to see and capture the visual potential of these wonderful shadows on the walkway. Despite the boosting of the contrast, you kept the bright parts under control while deepening the shadows. Great POV down near the ground. Have a great Sunday -

Hi Trudy
You Have a good eye for catching the unsual yet giving such great results.
The dof merging into one and the lamp posts poking unto the sky and those shadows, great creativity.
Dot

Hi Trudy,
Good time of the day to catch those nicelly strech shadow, which produce good graphic lines on the sidewalk. The shot seems a touch underexposed but beside that, everything seem right. Good color balance, nice high contrast scene with well controled highlight. Very nice and dynamic composition. You've done good.

Hi Trudy,
Nice catch on the shadows, the sun was in the right place for this one. I like the way the fence takes your eye further in. TFS

Bom dia Trudy
Superb lines and shadows...unique.
Beautiful!

Hi trudy
I like the idea of this photo but not its treatment.
I tried to make a WS but I was'nt happy of the result. Then I played with the "tampon de duplication" and the result is amazing : a total abstract picture ! Well, tell me if you like... It's just a crazy expreriment !
Cheers
Pascal

Ciao Trudy

I feel the bridge those swing behind my desk,
so long and very narrow. Lovely Shadows
You chose an excellent angle this care for a lovely perspective.
Nice composition, good presentation too.

Warmest regards,

Sergio

I certainly like the dynamics of the lines and 'elongated' circles producing the fine patterns on the sidewalk and i approve of the need and interest to accentuate them some more, still i think , well just my two cents but although the forms cast on the sidewalk are now well more defined i sense that some details on the inward side of the railing have probably been lost to this increase of contrast in PP , oh well perhaps there wasn't that much to see after all , he he. i think i would have stepped up to the stumped lampost and composed to leave it out of the frame , sorry for nit-piking this one Trudy , yet i must admit that your great sense of observation serves you well and that you have become more acute and keen at finding interesting opportunities for photos as well ,it shows in your work well, tfs your observation on a perfect day my friend,
Carol

Hi Dear Trudy
Fantastic use of shadows and light, here you've captured a very nice composition of lines, curves, shapes, and diagonal view in addition to right use of the rule of third...
and a deep blue sky...
Bravo
Regards, Alireza

hi trudy :)

in addition to the beautiful shadows, the rich blue sky and the low-angle, what makes this photo all the more interesting for me is the perspective it offers us.

a very well composed photo you have here :)

have a great day :)

Absolutely genial !! The composition is.....WOW !

Yes... a very good idea.
This is your ability: to see beyond and the different.
I like it!

Hello Trudy, excellent use of perspective looking along University bridge.
Boosting the contrast was a good idea, as it emphasises the pattern of the shadows.
The blue sky complements the picture.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Hi Trudy,
Cool shot. The shadows look great against the concrete, really seems to be accentuated by the low POV. Looks like someone has painted the sky with a brush :), well seen.

TFS,
Scott.

Hello Trudy,

I love to see work with light and shadows.
There is something so arty about the strong contrasts and the lovely patterns!
I frequently take shots and then leave them in my folders! But, I'm sure that I've not taken anything as well composed and sharp as this! The converging lines are a treat, taking the eyes into the shot at breakneck speed!

Have a good day,
Bev :-)
I've had real trouble getting your shots on screen today! The photographs just would not open! This must have been my 6th attempt! Worth the effort, though!

Oh dear, I missed this Trudy. I like your very artistic interpretation. Well exposed, the shapes are fabulous. Regards.
Danilo
