Running to Stand Still - U2
...In through a doorway she brings me,
White gold and pearls stolen from the sea
... She is running to stand still.

This is a scene for characters with names like Isobel and Jack. It's a scene for walking barefoot, leaving prints on a country road. A scene that needs the sounds of crickets and swaying trees. It's a good scene.
"The ghost of the sunset crouched on the horizon in a pale glow, while above the evening star hung like a jewel. Impossibly bright. The dark shoulders of mountains appeared to be rolling over to sleep; the lake lay like glass. For the moment, the smell of smoke was absent."
- Anne DeGrace
[taken from her novel "Treading Water" ... some good Canadian (specifically British Columbian) stuff]
PP; check out the workshop for the original, you can see it was beautiful even without photoshops false colours. Levels, curves and a crop was used and then I added the frame. |

Hi Biance,
Long time I did not browse your gallery! I am impressed by your progress towards a personal and artistic signature!
The PP work on the original is so effective, here! You created a interesting mood in perfect harmony with your quotation!
I like much the unreal light surrounding the scene!
Bravo! Annie
Hi Biance, very nice rural scene, looks very atmospheric, the composition draws your eye strait to the church.
Thanks
Gil
Very beautiful light. That is the most striking feature of this shot, particularly with the light inside the window of the church. Amazing! Textbook composition too.
