As Azai watched her sister rise into the air and soar away, she felt a fierce stab of envy. How wonderful it must feel to have the gift of flight! And Nev have been given the ability to command dragons as well! Azai searched for her own gifts, but could not recognize any. Her task was simply to stand between the dragons and their prey like a human sacrifice. As Azai's jealousy and her sense of inferiority grew, she began to transform, her legs turning into a long, scaly tail.
