Two Dragon Riders
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
"Within each of us lives both a dragon and a god or goddess," the Oracle told the Knight of Flame. "Acts of agression or selfishness feed the dragon and make it stronger. Kindness, forgiveness and acts of compassion feed and stengthen the god or goddess.
In the past only your unselfish motives -- defending innocence -- kept you from becoming a dragon yourself. You cannot kill the dragon within you without destroying a vital part of your self. Fear and anger keep you safe and give you strength in times of need, but if you allow those emotions to rule your actions, the dragon wins. However, you can learn to ride the dragon, to break the cycle of violence and act out of love despite your anger or fear. This is the Balance -- between good and evil, between god and dragon. Learn to see the god or goddess hidden within each dragon and teach them to see it in themselves and each other. This is the only way to defeat evil. Control yourself and maintain the Balance."
