I took this last fall in Victoria BC on Dallas Road---this is favorite place for para sailers and the like, they sail out into the ocean on the up and down drafts----there are usually many of them,it looks so peaceful and is so hushed---the winds across this part of the straights from the Olympic Mountains in Washington State to Victoria BC are well known for their gusts and strength and activities and people and ocean watching abound----Lynne

A worthy photographic feat here, Lynn. It can be tough to capture someone aloft like this quickly and within focal range -- to compose it well and get a sun and clouds in there, too, that's pretty good work!

Hi Lynne,

Great shot. I like the shilouette against the setting sun.
Exposure is really good here. The shilouette of the para sailer looks good and I think it's very nice that the parachute is still lit by the setting sun.

I did a workshop to try and make it a bit more colourful. I hope you don't mind.

Cheers,
Jens
