Oak Bay's Chinese cemetery lies near the rocky shore of Harling Point in Oak Bay, BC. This is Canada’s oldest Chinese cemetery.
The twin towers of the ceremonial altar, used for burning joss sticks and for offerings of food, stand overlooking magnificient views toward the Olympic Mountains.
Here simple markers are found among wildflowers in a setting selected according to the ancient concept of feng shui.
It was general practice for overseas Chinese to exhume the remains after seven years, clean and dry the bones and then ship them back to China for burial. |

Hi Doreen,
Interesting POV of the cemetery, dim light expresses the mood quite well. However, in my opinion, contrast should be better, maybe you can try with you own workshop techniques if you want. But never mind, I still like this shot! TFS
Greetings,
Kristof
