This is a little guy about 5-6 inches tall,it was its coloring that caught my eye,I'm used to spotting just the browns,or grey's & darker colored birds, not sure
what he is, but thought he was cute sitting alone on this wire rod.

Great POV, focus, colors and light, Ronald.
Congratulations and many thanks for sharing.

Regards,
Bruno

It's probably a goldfinch Ron, but that's just a guess!
Great simple, minimalist shot .. really eye-catching. Colors of the bird are outstanding against the blurred, muted background. I might have cropped up a little higher from the bottom, maybe even having the wire come directly out of the bottom left corner... just an idea.
Great job Ron

Happy Sunday!
(Ron, I tried a WS, just for the heck of it .. hope you don't mind:)

Lovely capture of this cute little bird with a confident, humorous expression ans pose. Sharpness and lighting is splendid with good POV! Well done!

cheers,

Regards,

Dilshan

Hi Ronald,
You captured him in a beautiful pose. I love the curious look on its face. The clean composition is wonderful, with a nice colored BG and just a simple wire. The color of the BG also contrast nicely with the color of the bird. Lighting and details are both very good.
TFS,
Niek

Boa tarde Ronald,
It's a pleasure to see this image, sharp, and well composed. Good diagonal and lateral lighting.
Best wishes,
raimundo

Hi Ron,
Superb sharp! A cute pose of this little fella makes it an attractive and nice image in my opinion. A tighter crop can improve it though I think. Anyway a fine post Ron!
Hans

What a cute birdie this is Ron. The diagonal is nice, the bird is sharp, and the b/g is noisefree. TFS

Hi Ron,
Magnificent job!! The focus looks absolutely flawless on the bird and wire, very well composed too. You were quite lucky to get him looking away from the camera like that, like something you'd see in The National Geographic. Impressive photograph.

TFS,
Scott.

HI Ron
You caught yourself a Finch( male the colors are bright and yellow while the female is sort of greenish) Cute little and very fast birds with a nice chirping sound when they talk to each other.
Very nicely caught the dark clouds add to the composition so I can see why you did not crop so as the rod enters the frame.

Hi Ronald,
This is a very good bird photo! What a beautiful light on this little guy! I love his tilted head letting to see that he is listening to! I imagine how he must appreciate the warmth of the sunbeam!
Excellent DOF making good acuity on the plumage and wire while the BG is nicely blurred. Bravo! Annie

Hello Ronald!
Lovely yellow little bird, nice point of view and perfect focus!
Excellent done!
Best regards!
Lili

Oh wow, Ron!!
What a fabulous shot!! I LOVE bird photos and this one is exceptional. Great color, AWESOME detail, cute pose. The light and contrast are perfect as well as your DOF. That is just adorable. Many thanks and kindest wishes,
Shelly

Bonjour Ronald

That's pretty bird shot. Some may say that the threaded rod isn't natural, but it also shows that these little created adapted to our technic-mechanical world. I love the contrast in colors, the soft BG. Excellent sharpness with perfect exposure. And the composition is very well balanced. Finally what to say about its pose and look. Great shot and TFS.

Alain

Fantastic detail on both the bird and the wire. Such a sharp shot! TFS

Nice and preety composition. This little bird is very sweet.Well done.Regards.Alin.

Hi Ronald,

A superb capture of this cute yellow bird. Luckily he was sitting fairly still for you to get him so sharp at 1/100 (especially at 300 mm). I agree that a different crop may be in order, but this is an awesome capture as is.

Best regards,
Werner

Hi Ron,
great capture, the composition, the sharpness and the pose are all VG - unusual wire looks a bit like threaded rod
cheers
Jack

Hi, Ronald. This is a very cute colorful little bird, image is sharp well composed and it is a Goldfinch. Goldfinches are very common in our state. I like the pose and the composition. Cheers and TFS.

Hello Ronald,
Wonderful minimalist composition. Nice contrast of colors. The lovable bird.
