A photo taken last week. Temperatures were milder for the last three days. In fact we had rain and temperatures went up to 8 Degrees Celcius. Therefore ice conditions changes drastically withing a few days. The habour basin in Becancour almost ice free this morning faciliting greatly the departure of the MV Lake Ontario. She is now heading for Baie-Comeau further down the river to unload the remaining of her cargo.

The tugs are hidden on the starboard side here as they were pullig her out.

Bonjour Robert,

Excellent!

Woohoo Robert a heatwave. Down here we started with a heavy fog which then lifted and the temperature topped out at 30C.
Excellent colours achieved once again, great POV and some good reflections.TFS

What a Giant Reoberto !
It would take atleast 2 persons with paddles if the engine fails! Great photo. 9-10 !
Salutem ..John
ps
I told Luc to keep an eye on you both with the snow storm.. maybe they have to come with blankets and food

Wow, I love it...what an impact of colour on the screen. You were lucky having a 'blue-sky' day to take this shot. The reflections in the water are super too. The PoV is perfect and the green bollard on the dock is a nice addition of colour. The water has that 'almost freezing' look about it, as it looks heavy and oily. Well done.
Joan

Hi Robert,
wow, such a long ship - seems to be endless.
The colours are marvelous, thanks for sharing

Bonjour Robert,

Luc

I think this is a proper name for this shep Robert. It looks large enough to own the lake.

Hi, Robert!
Nice POV. Very pleasant red and blue wedding. I like the reflection on water.

Hello,
You've captured this really well. Some subjects are difficult to realise in a pictorial way. As awe inspiring as ships are, I rarely see a photograph that conveys the size and sheer presence of the thing. This image ticks all the boxes for me.
One other thing, it's also startlingly beautiful to look at. Now, one of my favourites.

Best wishes, Martin

Hello Robert,
Beautiful photo,congratulation.
Regards.
Ralf
