I like the fading into white on the righthand side, it gives mood to the photo. I am not sure that the soft focus works?

Il faut parfois briser les règles, et ici selon moi, tu le fais bien. Ce qui m'attire, c'est la belle gradation de lumière, comme si l'oeil regardait l'au delà. Une belle oeuvre originale, Alain!

What makes this shot Alain is that it is not your typical eye shot - your sharp focus on the eye lashes with a a shallow DOF, along with the strong light from the right make a different perspective on the subject. Very nicely done, Sam

Even though it does have a claim to be original, I don't agree with this photo composition. There isn't much to focus on with the eye except for a few eyelashes.

Close up on eyes are always difficult because the camera wants to focus on the eyelashes because they are closest to the camera. I think this happened with your eye shot. The composition is very good indeed. I think it is well worth trying again and see if you can focus on the iris. If you have a tripod, it is best to use it. If not a pile of CD's works well.

Most people would normally focus on the eye but you focused on the lashes and I really like that. It's different and interesting. TFS.

Hi Alain,
that's an interesting shot - everybody would expect the focus on the eye - but here it is on the hairs - you uses low DOF with only f3.2.
But it's realy romantic and dreamy, thanks
