Nice idea Greg. Very good composition. It caught my eye immediately.
However, the image does seem to be bit murky. Using selective color can add to this murkiness. It also seemed to burn out some details in the rock face. I would suggest working with the levels and curves controls to clear the image a bit. Perhaps using the shadow/highlite controls to deepen the sky.
I tried for an honest critique.
