Ok.. that was easy! :)

A toothpick is a piece of wood or other substance such as plastic used to remove food from the teeth after a meal.

Toothpick grooves have been found in the teeth of prehistoric humans.

The first toothpick-manufacturing machine was patented on February 20, 1872, by Silas Noble, and J. P. Cooley of Granville, Massachusetts.

I love this macro!
Wouldn't have guessed without a hint:)
Love their random order and the way they twirl!
Very nice colours and the wooden texture!
Miss the black frame though, but it's very personal:)
thanks for posting and have a nice day, Karina:)

Hi Alexandre,
Lovely Macro!! informative note too..
The bunch seems to give me the illusion of rotating if i move closer to the monitor and away..
A lovely combination of colors and patterns..
TFS
Cheers!

Truly amazing...
I really like your sense of chaotic balance in the spiral, and the detail of each peice of wood.
How did you keep all the toothpicks together?

Hi Alex, very good makro, sharp and colourful.. spiral formation adds extra character to the frame, btw, did you colour them?...

Very good eye... great idea, and yes, I was stumped!

What a fun Macro! I love the pattern and colors. I was stumped, too.

Great Macro. Nice colours and interesting POV. Thanks for sharing!!!

De toute beauté, Alexandre !!!

AInsi by those colors to guess but before we ad a no colors shot.. Only wood in a style like this. A like the natural twirl disposition! And it's sharp.

Great colours, texture and detail

Good idea ;)

Salut Alex,

Très belle expérimentation! Un superbe spirale de couleurs! Un peu trop de sharpen par exemple... Une belle dynamique dans cette composition.

Bravo!

Je t'ai fait un petit workshop!

Beautiful color shot! Nice sharprness and great composition! A very attractive picture! Bravo! Michel

Really good observation Alex, and an excellent compo too! Twirling effect almost makes me dizzy, which is probably OK :)
But tell me, did you color them yourself, or were they already coloured? I'm asking because colored wood in my mouth doesn't seem like a healthy thing! :))
Great work, TFS!
Regards,
Robert

Lovely colors Alex. And i like to see them in a slight twirl. Very nice macro shot with a useful note :)
OOP, will be back..
