“Brown Butterfly” is the name of this photograph which I took in Pippy Park. As it is getting colder, this butterfly was less active and I could take a close up photograph. It is a pity that our summer is short because I find I’m just getting used to it when it is over.
This photograph was cropped, Level adjusted, Sharpened in lab color U.S. M. 100,1,0, And saved for the web . |

Good shot! In case you're interested this one is called a "Camberwell beauty" here in the UK, its scientific name is Nymphalis antiopa. Pretty rare over here, not sure what its status is in Canada. Your capture is nice and sharp, the only minor thing is that the fringe on the wings seems a little overexposed to me - was it originally, or is that a post-process issue? Anyway, well captured :-D

Qu'elle merveilleux papillon Jim. L'image est très clair et nous pouvons voir ses couleurs à la perfection. Bravo!
