[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
An HPP self-portrait for the scanvanger hunt. I have not worked with Photoshop much, but thought I would try some ideas I picked up from reading Liz's (naturegirl) notes.
This is what I came up with for "Extreme Makeover"---used the lazzo tool to remove background, then added new background with airbrush tool. Adjusted contrast, resized and added frosted glass look.
I think it turned out not too bad--what do you think? I need all the help that I can get, I am really new at this.
Thank you everyone on Treklens.

I find this combination of effects interesting! And happy smiling face deserves that splendid gentle background.

BC...I love your picture, well done. Thanks for the credit, but I have never done one like this, but with your great notes I think I will give it a try. I'm glad that you did not distort it too much so we could not see your great smile and laughing eyes.

This is great work for the scavanger hunt addition. I can only praise your post processing and compliment your sparkling eyes....

If this is a first, I'd call it a very succesful one, BC. I like how you managed to keep the face detailed enough, even with the post processing. And a cheerful smile is always nice to look at. Well done and thanks for sharing (TFS).

Wow, what a great first self portrait, I have tried many times and can not achieve a good capture. Your post processing is also very well done. Before long you will be a pro.

Excellent self portrait, and ideal for the Scavenger Hunt. It looks like you have acquired very good skills in post processing. Well done.
You look too young to be retired!

You made this look like a painting! The secret to PS filters is to use several of them, and usually with small amounts, even perhaps doing them on different layers so you can change the opacity once in a while when needed. This is a fun portrait.
