[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A barn reborn: the past (a viable farm in Ontario) decays and collapses while vegetation thrives on the rotting wood. It is ironic (or perhaps comforting) that a structure first designed to help animal and vegetable life grow ends up sustaining vegetable life through its death and decay.

Another shot from a ruined barn just outside of Caledon Ontario. This barn is opposite the other barn I photographed in B&W. Some of the surrounding land has been tilled recently, so perhaps this is a case of a family farm being swallowed by a larger farm operation.

PP: Crop, smart sharpen on selected areas, 5% saturation increase in selected reds and greens.

Hi Josh, a good capture of this crumbling barn. Good close-up. You did a good pp work but may I suggest on top of it adding contrast a little? Just a suggestion.

Very well seen and done.

Nice composition Josh, and lots of interest created by the textures in the frame and the wood through the window.

10/10 I love this texture the old window a fabulous shot. I have this thing for old windows and doors, this is wonderful

Hi Josh,
I like your picture, your interest for details, your note.
Dalia

I like this one very nice, it's true about the vegetation thriving on the rotting wood. The sprig of green adds life.

P.S I would maybe just up the contrast a tad (but then again that's just me)

What a wonderful shot! the angle and textures are fantastic. The contrast between the green leaves and the worn timberwork is great. a really well presented photograph. well done.
