[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
“I tied one on” Is the name of this photograph and it was taken at the Saint John’s waterfront. This bright post is being used to hold so many ships in place. The colors and the rope patterns attracted my attention and I tried to capture a small portion of the harbor. There was very little photo editing and done with this photograph except level slightly adjusted, framed, and saved for the web.
Over the years, a large number of ships have used this post. They certainly tied one on! I wonder did they enjoy their visit to the city. I hope so.

heh, I just posted a photo with the same complimentary colors...It's something that can make a photo so exciting, like this...it catches the eye so well

A nice picture with pretty hues and somehow a kind of movement, I like. You should post it in the "some knots, some ropes" theme.

Details of harbours, you always can find something to photograph !
This one is great, superb full colours and light, I like the details, Jim !

Oh yes! this is a beautiful detail from those structures...love how the colors are showy and bring much from those textures. Well seen Jim!

My father worked at a shipyard... seen may of these boulders, with the accompanying ropes!
The composition is well arranged, with the orange boulder catching the eye at the thirds of the photo, gradually leading our attention first up and then done the ropes. I think this shot is a keeper!

Très intéressante opposition de couleurs complémentaires. Félicitations!

Beau contraste de couleurs(jaune/bleu). Image bien nette et d'une belle luminosité. Détails bien perceptibles. Bien fait.
Bye, Jacques
