At this time of the day all the big ones are taking off at P.-E.Trudeau Airport in Montreal. It's hard to get acceptable shots with the sunset.

attempt a reverse angle to get the golden rays of the sun on the airpalne itself just a suggestion or get underneath to get them on the skin of the bird.
