Wild Cherry Leaves
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| These are the leaves of a wild cherry (cerise sauvage) that accompanied our dessert at a restaurant called Le Parchemin in downtown Montreal. The fruit was a cross between a tomato and a cherry. Unusual. My partner liked the leaves, so I tried to take a portrait of them, propping up the camera and using my electronic remote. She was happy with the result. (At least that's what she told me.) I've just pushed the highlights a bit and slightly brought down the yellow from the candle light and also reduced the saturation. |

I love the light and colour in this shot. Compositional elements are very good, with the leaves along the lower area of the frame and the candle to the right, it makes great use of space via the diffused background. Impressive work!
