First !

A Big Hello to all . I am finally back home in Trois-Rivieres, and connected to the world. I had to replace my modem..... Last Saturday I updated my Intro page from the office....

OK , vacation is over. Martine and me had a gorgeous time touring the province once again last week. However, I had to cut my vacation short as I had to attend in Port Saguenay last Saturday. I took this shot on my way back home Tuesday morning.

We see the North End of Lake Jacques-Cartier located midway between Quebec City and Ville Saguenay, next to the Rest area in the center of the park.

If the Southern part of the Province received loads of rain lately resulting in floods in numerous localities, the North region of Quebec City, had snow. In fact I met a heavy squall when I drove up on Saturday afternoon too. More fell down Monday night. Therefore I waited, until Tuesday early morning before leaving Ville Saguenay. I still had flurries at times in the morning.

By the way, we also passed Northbound on October 14th and we already met our first snow...... But they already had some in September !!!! Autumn colors in the Park are indeed different here.... More coming soon.

Image cropped. Adjusted luminosity and added a simple border and title.

Cheers!

Paul

Hi Robert,
How nice to see some fresh snow already in this part of the world. It realy feels as if the weather is acting really strange this year with some high temperatures where you don't expect it. This is a beautiful photo with such great subtle light and beautiful contrast between the dark trees and fresh snow.
TFS,
Niek

Hello Robert,
First snow indeed!! And beautiful it is...
Superb textures and the low light adds strongly to the seasonal atmosphere...
Well composed, good balance... The trees in front really add depth!
Greetings,
Pablo -

It's been SNOWING already!!!!! It looks freezing Robert - AND it looks AWESOME!!!
Beautiful scene, and the composition and colours are great. Well done - I'm so pleased you went visiting there!
Thanks Robert and Martine

This is absolutely magnificent, thank you so much for this. Hope you dont get an excessive amount of snow, it would be so nice to hear of somewhere getting a 'good' season no matter which one it is.
Glad to have you back

Good shot. I like the mood here. :D

Snow already?!?!? I find it refreshing to see such a photo, getting tired of the flowers and green landscape. Excellent mood and beautiful photo.

Yassou Robert,

So glad to see you back!!! :)) I hope you and Martine had a great time!
So these are the Autumn colours in Canada?? I wonder how the Winter colours are... :)) This is so beautiful!!! It certainly has a "December-January" look for me, but I guess Greece's weather has nothing to do with Canada's...
Excellent POV and low lighting that enhances the moody atmosphere.

Very well done and can’t wait to see the rest of your photos (*_^)

Hi Robert,
It is way too early for snow!! Most of the leaves are still on the trees in Toronto area. This is a superb scene, like a postcard. Well done.
Sunil

Wow!! What a beautiful landscape, masterfully captured, with a fantastic mood. Great composition and exposure. Nice to see you back!

Bonjour Robert,

HI Robert,
it's such a wonderful silent atmosphere.
I like the winter-wonderland, to look down to the lake and the snowy trees, that's fantastic, thanks

Stunning landscape shot, Robert. I love the muted effect of the background fading into the distance. The sun is lovely draped over by the clouds. TFS

Hello Robert and welcome back. Autumn colours? I saw the title and was expecting some bright colours and it is snow!. A lovely shot though and well composed. Delightful hue and the detail is good. I guess you can have snow in Autumn, just yesterday Tasmania suffered under the brunt of a cold front from the Antarctic and had more snow and it is our Spring. TFS,
David

Salut Robert,

Claude

Finally - a place in Canada that had a dumping of snow before we did! Now I don't feel so left out. Very romantic scene (to look at in a picture) probably like that until late May or early June?
Cheers
Otto

That is quite a marterpiece Robert. The pov and compo is perfect.

Cheers!

Ben.

This is a beautiful scene Robert. The inclusion of the sun just visable behind the cloud lifts the mood. Excellent POV and sharpness and well presented. TFS. Kind regards, Pat.

salut wow vraiment tres belle ta photo salut bonne journée

Hi there!
I have had a look at your work and you are very very talented. I envy you!
This specific shot is one of my favorites. It looks like something you'd find on a postcard or on the cover of National Geographic.
Superb gray shades and great composition. Love the crisp focus in the foreground and the haziness of the hills and sky in he background.
Absolutely brilliant!
