Frost and Snow
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| A few days ago after a heavy frost I took some photos of the frost on the inside of our unheated front porch. I also took a few shots from our side screen room, which has smoked vinyl windows and screens to keep the mosquitos out in summer. I used the frost photos after colouring them with the hue and saturation tools, and then merged them into one multi colour image. Then I took the snow covered window photo which is in colour but looks black and white and placed it roughly in the centre of the coloured frost. I didn't know how to centre it accurately, so it was only an eyeball placement. |

Nice work Joan, especially on the background images. The colouring works very well. The centre image is OK too, but I don't like the white lines you inserted. They even cut a bit off of the leftmost pictures, and on the right side the top line is thicker than the others...
TFS.
Oh, this is very, very good. I really like the frosty ones and the changes of hue you added. I find the middle photo lacks a wee bit of brightness though. Maybe use curves, or selective colour on white, and decrease the back using the slider. Just an idea. The layout and placement of the photos is just great. You are becoming a good graphic designer these days. Keep up the good work.
I still find putting the borders the hardest thing. I like the thin white lines you made.
Am off in about 10 minutes to my inlaws for supper. I hope you have a safe and happy holiday.
