[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
My little granddaughter is wishing for snow. Each day she asks me if it will snow. I explain to her about the clouds and the temperature, and she looks outside to see if there are cloud and it is cold. Tonight the temperatures reached a low of -5C. which is pretty cold for the coast. But even then it is not snowing, our usually rainy climate is quite dry............so......no snow right now. Will have to head for the mountains to play in the snow.
But I am sure she will keep asking and wishing.

Tech. changed to B&W, blacked out background, sharpened, added frame and little stars in the corner, resized for the web and uploaded....that's all.

Seeing these stars made her eyes twinkle indeed, Liz. Excellent capture of her expression.
I don't see why you left a shade of grey around her hair though, instead of blackening that area also ?

This photo is such a precious gift, especially when she is old enough to appreciate it. You have managed to capture the pure essence of a child.

You caught a wonderful light in her eyes there. And the way she is biting her lip makes this a very personal and out of the ordinary portrait. I am not too sure about the fake snowflakes. They work well as the focus of her attention, but they seem a bit too artificial in what is such a natural portrait.

Cuty, and well done on your composition. the B.& W. works well and the stars add to the image.

What a cute and happy portrait, Liz, nice in B/W-tones, great work !

If you are in the area of Vancouver or on the Island, not very much snow overthere. But it is a beautiful place.
