Seasonal Self-Portrait
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
RP: I accidently posted the pre-sharpened photo. This is now the correct version. It does, however, have a narrow DOP which was my goal.
I am very excited to have bought my first DLSR: the XTI! A Guelph hospital had a fundraiser which featured many themed Christmas trees. I decided that since the XTI was a present to myself, I would use the Christmas trees to compose a self-portrait with my new toy!
At 1/10th of a second this was a hard shot handheld. I put the camera on continuous and just held the shutter down until I figured that the law of averages would give me one clean shot!
I've done some very minor work with levels and a small crop. There still was minor camera shake so I applied a "clarify"-style USM and smart sharpen.
I'd like to wish the very best of the season to everyone on Treklens. And yes, I am lame. |
