Cold blood

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
The day I took that picture was one of the first cold ones of this winter. Actually, the temperature was around -20C (almost -30 wind chill). I stayed almost 2 hours on the top of Mont-Royal, the highest peak on the island of Montreal. It stands above the city at a height of 238 meters, so it's a bit colder because of the fast winds. Anyway, this is the reason of the title. :P
This is one of my first pictures taken with my new Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G VR. But because of the wind, not a lot of pictures looked really great. If I hadn't a tripod, this picture would've never existed!
In Photoshop CS, I erased the shadow of the tripod (it was in the middle of the picture... really distracting and annoying!), and I played a little bit with saturation, contrasts and luminosity.
Hope you enjoy this photograph as much as I do!

I really like the feel of this photo. The ominous clouds looking as though the safety of the city lights mean nothing to them. Good colours too.
Hi Marcin
Great feel to this image. It was worth the wait!

Verry well choosed place. Before reading your note, I was giving a different perpective to your title... The warm orange contrasting with the city make me think of blood in some way. And you know, with this book on the photo, it could be easy to play with words as what we see is the heart of Montreal.
Anyway, thank you for your will to resist with that cold. Brrr :0
Super widok! I kolory super tez odjechane.
Pozdrawiam.
