[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is Mary in front of Guelph's Church of our Lady. This POV was inspired by Silke and her similar photo. I too this in the early morning just after sunrise and lucked out with some really weird light. Faint light from passing cars seemed to accumulate with the ambient light and I was happy with how Mary turned out.

You can check out Silke's photo here. I have another photo of this church that I am proud of posted on TrekEarth here.

PP: Taken in RAW and given a slight S-curve before passing to CS2. In CS2 I used shadow/highlight to grab back some detail from the snow and top of Mary's hood. I added a bit of saturation to the yellows in Mary and then I sharpened using a highpass filter that needed a surface blur and some painting before being applied in soft light.

Superbly done, Josh! The blanket of snow across Mary's arms gives it a whole new feeling. The POV is superb: I love the way you have allowed us to see the rose window over Mary's shoulder.
The rose window, of course, is symbolic of Mary and the five-petalled rose is the most traditional symbol of Mary. (Other 5-petalled flowers include the forget-me-not, sometimes called the "Eyes of Mary" and the periwinkle, also called "Virgin Flower".) That six-petalled flower in the centre is the spotless (Easter) lily, the symbol of Mary's purity. Interspersed between the five-petalled roses are four-petalled jasmine flowers, symbols of the cross.
As to your photo: aside from the perfect POV, I love the way you have handled the light and the dof and the rich colours brought out by your colour saturation.
TFS (and for honouring me [a lovely surprise] in your post)
Silke
