Hurray, I finally got my camera back from the repair shop!
Todays trip to Waterton Lakes National Park: heavy snowfall, and clouds almost touching the ground. Nevertheless, a magic place! Cameron Falls is not seen very often in winter, since almost everything there is shut down and boarded up for the season. A few hardy souls venture out for cross-country skiing towards Cameron Lake (the headwaters of this waterfall which flows into Waterton Lake). If you head out that way, make sure you have enough gas in your tank, since even the service station is now closed. The only place open is the Kilmorey Lodge Hotel and Restaurant.
Here is a July shot of the same scene by Mike Basil.
PS work: levels and curves, border added and close-up of ice cloned into border.
Downsized large file for TL. I have one version, suitable for a 50x40 inch poster on file at 20MB

Hello Otto !

The place look familiar (^_^). Love to see it again under different weather conditions. Beautiful scene for a Christmas Card. Although I must admit , I prefer a simplier frame.
Cheers!
Robert

Stunning! Looks VERY cold, but I love how ice gives off that little bit of blue at the edges! Really nice composition Otto! Brrrrrrrrr...

I like the wide context in this one, Otto. I really get a sense of the falls. The frame is interesting. I wish you had a sunny Albterta winter day, well actually I wish we had ALL had a sunny winter day. Thanks for the mention, too!
