Welcome! Nice shot, I liked the colors and the composition. In my opinion, the only problem is this first trunk, you should have chosen another position where it couldn´t be seen.

Nice picture. Most interesting to be able to skate through the trees. I like the trees most in this shot. I think the way that you have just had the people inbetween and not so important in the shot tells the story more.
Nice clarity and color. I don't know, I kind of like the first trunk, but is all oppinion yeah...

Good composition Chris and welcome to TrekLens. I like the colours in this one and the idea of skatiing through the trees is a very different way than we usually see skaters on open ponds and rinks.

Winter is beautiful, but I can't stand the cold. I like to view it from afar and visit the Northlands in summer! I have always dreamed of riding in a heated Sno-Cat though!
A nice post and gives a feeling of freedom and joy.

I had no idea you could do that in Montreal .. I mean skate thru woods ... its a neat idea .. i don't think i have ever done it ... do they flood this trail regularly .. how do they keep it running?
Very nice photo .. I like the depth, atmosphere in it ...
I am also tend to spend lots of time ouside in the winter though I do not like to take photos in winters

Bonjour Chis,
La composition est originale et bénéficie d'un impact certain.
La dispostion des arbres en quinconce et la présence de personnages aux couleurs vives sur une neige bien blanche, dynamisent la composition. Très belle lumière latérale.

I like the mood this photo creates, and the shadows from the trees are great. Wish I could go ice skating there. Good job!
Now that is too ridiculously hard core for me to even imagine, being a Southern girl, LOL!! I can't believe people do that, doesn't it rust their roller blades?

On peut s'attendre à voir plus souvent des skieurs en forêt et c'est pourquoi cette photo me paraît inusitée même si on peut voir des zones déblayées.
J'aime le bon contraste dans la neige donné par un soleil bas. Les 2 groupes de patineurs sont partiellement dissimulés
par les arbres, ce qui situe bien l'action.
Bravo.

Cette photo est d'une grande netteté avec de très belles couleurs. Patiner dans un boisé, eh bien, c'est bien la première fois que je vois ça... Dis-moi Chris, où donc est ce parc que tu dis être le long du fleuve St-Laurent, c'est qu'il est très long ce fleuve ha ha ha... Mon mari et moi sommes des adeptes du patinage en hiver, voilà pourquoi ma question... Bravo, c'est une bien bonne photo et en même temps, je viens d'apprendre quelque chose...
J'aime la clarté, la profondeur et surtout de ne pas avoir forcé avec le contrraste et le "sharpening"

L'épaisseur de la neige au pieds des arbres dénudés, la fraîcheur douce et les patineurs surpris dans leur course par un observateur discret... J'aime le paradoxe troublant entre la nature qui emprisonne des personnages libérés des contraintes et l'espace qui s'étend à l'horizon où l'on suppose la ville et ses obligations. Pour faire simple, j'adore !!
