[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In light of the arrival of spring, I wanted to
get into the spirit of things by posting these
daffodils. My intention was to make the image look like a painting. After much PP work using Photoshop, I decided that the texturizer with the canvas option worked the best.
Hope it's OK with the masses :)

Nice shot - interesting pp work. When I first saw it I thought of looking out a window with spring rain misting the daffodils..interesting texturizer effect. I really like the muted colours in the background. Good composition, point of view, and perspective. Nice framing too.

Hi Ursula,

Excellent composition and post processing! I love the contrast and the texture. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Ursula,
verygood photoshop working...bravo...selamlar

J'aime beaucoup ce travail. Les couleurs et la composition m'inspire...

Hello Ursula !

Cool processing and filter use. I like the contrast between the BG and your flowers. I might suggest you to lower further more your POV, to be at the same height of the flowers, providing the BG is still interesting. In that case a narrow DOF would be really necessary to avoid a distractive BG.

just a thought .
Cheers!
Robert :)

The flowers certainly look interesting in your picture but to me the effect is rather like seing through a grainy window and less like a painting. Beautiful effect none the less.

I like the PP work on this. Daffodils are such fun to work with aren't they? (My favourite PhotoShop filter for flowers is "Watercolour" -- I took a less than perfect photo of tulips, put it through the watercolour filter twice and was totally astounded at the results!)
Your "Spring Palette" has a lovely almost rain-textured feeling to it (I want to try that too, which is why I've added your shot to one of my themes).
Ah -- and I do like your subtle framing -- another idea for me to try!

Hi Ursula ;)
wonderful creation...my compliments...TFS
All the best,

Hello Ursula!

This is a wonderful photo, the colors quite warm yellow, the background with a good
dof, it brings out the subject to fore. I just miss the traditional clarity. Would you mind if
I requested a workshop without the filter. Merci!

Mabuhay!

p.s. i am okay it took us three days
to get out and let the water subside
to passable levels at one of the rivers.
yes, we used the river and was pulled up
the bank by another pick up,

Hi firend,

Hi Ursula

The pp works looks a little like frosted glass. Good colour & lighting & well composed using the classic number, of 3.

Also I really enjoyed how you framed this photo

Tricia

hello ursula! thanks for your comments on my work, i like this photoshopped image, what i really like is the point of view, its like they are only looking down because the sun is not in their faces! if the light was right on them they would be standing to attention, i dont know but the POV i think is striking! thanks again, scoot

Hi Ursula, not usually a fan of such filters but have to say it does look nice here...and the color contrast is awesome. Good balanced compo...nice shooting Ursula and TFS!
