[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is another photo from the Orangeville Trek on a cold, snowy day that Wayne (WTS) and I took earlier this March. As evident from Wayne's photo here this building had seen better days. I took this photo to emphasize the materials used to construct the structure...stones and boulders from the surrounding countryside. I liked the details of the various-sized stones put together to form the wall.

The photo was shot in Raw and sharpened in Photoshop Elements and sized and framed for TL.

I hope you like the photo. Have a great day.
Cheers, Todd

Excellent! I must admit I prefer your view to Wayne's. His is journalistic and yours is more artistic. The destruction is still clear in both of them, but I enjoy looking at yours.
My compliments on the composition too: a fascinating study of thirds at work here

Hi Todd welcome back.
I like the stone work,I had not even noticed that, thats incredible detail, and to see how they filled in the areas, with smaller stones, great eye.
Considering the day this is nice and sharp detail, like your composition, on this.
I'll give you a call this week

Hi Todd
I really like the capture of different rocks to hold this wall up! Wonderful POV! Also I love the little bit of snow on the sill!

Tricia

I really like the POV you choose for this shot, I like that you can't see the whole window, good use of light and great details of the rocks that make up the wall. If I hadn't looked at your link I'd have never guessed that they were the same building. I also like the subtle colors in the rocks that make up the wall. Nice composition, TFS
Dayna

Hello Todd,
Pleasant textures in that stone wall!
Interesting documentary of former building techniques, where they often used what was at hand...
Well framed, good natural colours!
Greetings,
Pablo -
