What a great scene Mike. Glad you got out of your car for this one. I like the warm tones created by the filter you used. Good thinking. Nice vertical composition. I also like the way you have included all the tree and the frozen lake in this composition. How lucky you are to see deer in your area. Well done.

Extremely wintry atmosphere in this one, Mike. What I like particularly is the lack of sky. Having the frozen lake as backdrop makes both deer and tree stand out better than they would have against a sky - IMO.

Very nice composition Mike, the elements in the photo seem to be in just the right places to make it very well balanced and I like the large 'space' area on the right top. You were so lucky to spot these deer right there near the road. Very good with the warm filter too. Well done.

Ho! Wonderfull! Lucky you! I would like to have the chance to get this kind. I can give you the scoop (for fun) i did something in relation with that... But unfortunately.. mines are not real... It's uincredible. The tree give a good completion... There is so white space behind to understand they have difficulty to feed them at this time! Great shot!

Great wildlife photo. The expanse of winter-gray sky and snow are a fine backdrop for the deer. The tree breaks the sky and adds a point of interest. I like this photo a lot.

Great POV, those poor deer are freezing their tushes off in that nasty weather! I like the portrait orientation here, it works well with the tree.

It certainly has the look of a cold winter day. A day when one might be happy if they could live in a place that was nice and warm and look out the front window to be greeted by the site of the two deer. I like the entire composition quite well. TFS.

I like the note you added with the photo, but I like the photo even more! I know I sound silly saying this, but it reminds me of Bambi. ;)

Jokes set aside, this photo is well composed and the sharpness is at the perfect level. Not much else to say, the frame works wonders and well I just love winter-time so, just a very good photo! So thanks for sharing.
