Wonderful Compositon Diana, like the colortones and the smooth edges on the rocks formation , the dark trees with their compleet different forms making a very good contrast with the rocks and the dramatic air ..just great, just i woulsd have blurred the noise in the clouds (upper side ) to gain a more equal effect ! this is one of my favs.

I think all was already written. Just want to show my appreciation for this almost paradise landscape (even if some would say the snow no in paradise) :-)
So - connection of trees with dark and sharp shapes vs white and smoothe snow, light rays, clouds similar to ground shapes and this small pieces of warm light in sky.

Indeed breath taking Diana. This is such beautifull lake. Once i was sitting by the edge of this lake...only i was in Toronto then. Me and Linda were giggeling on the pier enjoying the moment and the setting sun. It was summer, but still as beautifull as this photo. Wonderfull work Diana.

Very dramatic with beautiful sky colours and the light breaking through is really great.I like the way the rocky land projects out into the lake in a curve and the snow and ice in the foregrounds adds a great variation of tones. Very very nicely done.

the atmosphere is beautifully ilustrated, and I was shocked by the ray of light, trully a masterpiece. For me, I just feel a bit unease with the snow bit on the bottom right corner of the frame, it feels too independent, I prefer to crop it instead.

Hi Diana,
This is an amazing photo - very surreal and the PP work has made it even more dramatic. I would only say that the area around the sun is a little overexposed and an aperture of around f/16 with the lens focussed at infinity with a slower shutter speed would improve an already amazing image! The use of the polariser was a very good idea too!
