[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Follow up to yesterday's post: Here is the general of the pelican troops, somewhat separated from the rest of the riff-raff crowd fighting over fish, waiting for his lunch to arrive at the waterworks weir on the Oldman River in Lethbridge.
A larger view of the scenery in the WS.
Still working on the rest of the pictures, then I'll put a slideshow together.
This shot was cropped slightly for better balance, color and contrast adjusted, downsized.

Good shot. Looks like a wall of water.

Hi Otto,
Another great shot, great colour and sharpness, in this shot the weir looks like a large wave coming to wash the pelican away.

Que interesante fotografía!. Estaría bueno ver a uno de estos pájaros en plena faena pesquera... aunque tal vez sean muy rápidos!.
ME gustó esta foto!.

hi otto, were did you take this? universal studios at the red sea thing were they filmed moses? *g*
interesting wall of water and actually i am
quite amazed to see pelicans in canada. everyday something new. :-)
superb 3-layer-composition with the river in front followed by the wall and then the stones in back shown in a terrific low pov.
thanks & see you soon again, thor.

Another excellent shot Otto. Good colour and light and well composed. Before I moved here I would go fishing with an Australian wildlife expert. He had his 'pet' pelicans who seemed to know when he was around. They would cruise in and actually take fish out of his hands. Unfortunately no camera then. Well done and TFS,
David

Many thanks for your comment on ‘Spirit Silver Edition’

Wonderful POV.
And that's a humongous zit he has on his beak :-).
