[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The eggs have hatched...today I happened to catch the last baby leaving his enclosure...still with half of the egg shell on it's head (or so I think it's the head) This to me looks like a tangled mess of transparent and veiny flesh...don't know what belongs where...
Mom and Dad take turns dropping off food to the babies...I can see all this happening right from the chair as I sit by my computer typing this...it's all right outside of the window.

There's going to be a thunderstorm at anytime, followed by a couple days of rain. Hope the nest stays in tact.

I'll post another one if or when the babies look cuter :)

PP Work: darkened/faded the edges
sharpened
cropped and framed

Please note that I cannot see this nest with my own eyes...I wait til the parents fly off and then I raise the camera above the nest carefully and hope for a sharp shot. It's tough without a tripod!

Hi Ursula: I see you are into a new phase of birwatching now with a new series. Nicely done and I hope you didn't frighten the little peepers too much.......Roman

Great capture and good title!

Well done considering that you couldn't see the subject.

There seems to be some artifacts left by the sharpening or jpeg conversion.

Cheers,
Jens

Congratulations with your "children" !! ;-)
Its very funny when someone starts a serie. Your serie goes about an interesting subject: new life. I hope you manage to continue with a few shots later on.

Hi Ursula
What a capture.
Such fragile looking babies, and the blue of the shell adds so nicely.
Amazing how you have managed to capture such a precious moment in very tricky circumstances.

Hi Ursula. Well timed to welcome these birds to the world. They seem very cosy in that nest. Good clarity and the colour of the shell is a highlight. TFS. Murray.

I believe you catch robins... I know cause i find that experience me too as i go to the parent's house one spring....
Nice shot you catch! It's important to not touch them when we take photos.
It's not easy no but you got them well :)
