Very nice capture. I think it is great to have almost 8km of smooth natural ice to skate along!
As for the picture itself, you did well with light and composition. The Château hotel looks beautiful and nicely overlooks the skating people. The bridge beneath it brings nice strong lines too.
However I think the DOF is too shallow here so the details look blurred in the distance. I'd also fix the CCW tilt and cropped the showing piece of the street lamp at the left.

Great colours and very well composed. This looks fantastic to me, since it never snows here where I live, I am always amazed by these kind of photos. This one has a fantastic atmosphere with all the people skating and the blue sky plus the sunlight make it even better :-)

Cette photographie a attiré mon attention sur la vignette et quelle belle qualité j'ai aperçu lorsque j'ai cliqué sur cette vignette.Une belle scène soignée dans son cadrage. J'aime bien cette série de lampadaire.Il y a dans cette photo une lumière que je trouve intéressante, bravo à toi.

this is a very nice angle from which you have taken this shot. I love the composition with the row of lamps at an angle and the skaters along the canal with the beautiful building of the Chateau Laurier in the background. The colours are nice and soft, yet clear. Very well done.

Excellent composition, Jimmy. Beautiful château too. I wonder if you could manage shooting this one when the ice has melted - from a small boat, perhaps? Anyway, I really like this shot. Something we miss over here, as it is not cold enough. TFS.
