[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A beautiful summers night at the Barnet Marine Park on the Burrard Inlet. Just worked on having a balanced composition with an interesting foreground leading to an interesting distant subject. The last sun of the day was gleaming from my left.
This a man made shoreline with some old dock ruins I believe was used for exporting wood.
I hand held the camera so I either was to up my iso (which I hate to do) or widen the aperture to allow more light in and enable a faster shutter speed to hand hold. Just had to focus out more.I could of used my tripod but was being a little lazy and was experimenting as I can come back anytime (even if I have to wait for a nice day.)

Thanks Scott

Hey Scott, that shot turned out nice. I haven't really looked at the shots I took that day, and with taking shots yesterday, I had totally forgotten about them. Gonna have to check them out and post some.

Hello Scott this is very well composed nice warm light good contrast and detail tfs rgds Necip.

Agree, the foreground makes the picture, bringing in the golden light of the waning day.
Dock ruins would make good perches for loons....

Scott you caught this scene with a perfect lighting situation. The f-stop used provide a good DOF from front to back. Nice going.

Cheers
Dan

Hello Scott:)
Very nice scenery... I would say that is BC because of these trees. Well done my friend - Tom

Hi Scott, nice shot! Well-captured mood taking us up up and away, out of the picture! Excellent time to get a good shot in. I was just wondering where the slats went? ;) TFS.
