This is one of the butterflies that I photographed during my last visit at the Montreal Botanical Garden, where visitors can attend a special event, called «Butterflies Go Free». One can admire a good number of specimens of tropical butterflies and morphs species that were released in one of the Garden’s greenhouses. That greenhouse has been customized to meet the butterflies’ and moths’ essential needs and keep them healthy. The temperature, humidity and light are kept just right, and platters of fruit and nectar-bearing and other plants have been provided for the winged guests to feed, rest and breed on.

I experimented with PS Elements 3.0:

Selection of the butterfly with the magic wand
Increase of the color saturation
Inversion of the selection
Reduction of the color saturation to zero within the selection (everything except the butterfly)
Addition of white within the selection
Border
Text (signature)
Save for the Web at TL size

C'est vraiment un beau travail cette manipulation de l'image. Le monarque de cette manière est parfaitement mit en évidence, j'aime beaucoup le résultat.
