Hello friends:)
Lately i was thinking of Greece... that tragedy, that huge fire, lost - life's, property, infrastructure, hope...
In late 80's I spent there two and a half years and that is why I love this Country so much due to the great memories!
- best people on Earth, nice climate, incredible views, islands, good work system where is time for making money, siesta, family and friend's time, night life style, delicious cuisine and that is going on and on...
Now so many Greeks suffer but I'm sure that they'll resolve all these problems and they'll help each other.
In my opinion real democracy exist only in Greece - as I remember how it was about that... may be as per today with globalism and total control is different??? - George Orwell was right in his book "1984" - our Mother Earth became as that piece of crap he mentioned - how sad are these times we have to go trough!!!
Today in our crazy times I can see millions of people wakening everyday: - after breakfast hour or two in traffic... arrive to work, working, listening to boss ( how I'm happy, and don't have one - I'm boss for my self), lunch for an hour( system that makes most important time in workday but for real created to make you busy with thinking and disputing what to eat and of course outside to spent as much as possible of your hard earned money and to keep you that one extra hour in work!!! - people can't cook, they can't even make a sandwich... just calculate how much you can safe in one year??? - easy... it is at least 2000 dollars... funny eh?) - now after lunch back to work, after work back into lovely rush hour traffic and arrive home, open your mailbox with bunch of new bills to make you happy and it is already 7PM - you are tired, you can't enjoy anything, you have no energy to think about how to improve your life, change work for better... talk to your children... you have to rest to get tomorrow to work on time and punch a card for your fealty boss, to be a slave for this few good men who create this brilliant system that is working perfectly for them!!!

This picture is my impression - just abstraction about how forest and people can cry over tragedy but first of all - this is my dedication for all Greeks with best wishes:)))))))))))))))))))))))))
In the title "Hellas" is ancient name for Greece...
In modern Greek it is Ellada.

Vandana

A beautiful pic and a super message here Tom! Really nice lines, reflections here. I might would have saturated it a bit more. Other than that, a fine tribute to our friends in Greece!

hi nice sincere notes tom, the image looks abstract and yes has a sad feel, it works, i feel for the peolple and animals in greece, heartbreaking, anyways , take care, scott

Excellent view to make cry a forest. I enjoy your POV! It's happen sometime and apparently Greece have terrible fires! We can see the news about it and each time it's happen i hallucinate to see how only a few man can do so much destruction. I read recently that they believe it's promoters who want to do some development who convince pyromaniacs to put the fire there... It's terrible. I hope they find that guy and give him a sentimental who will show to the planet that life deserve more respect then stupid big money. I don't know... A knew kind... Sorry my rich man... For the kill and dammage you lost your right of money... We will give all what you have to poor people who need more then you... Everything! And you will work during 1 year with poor people... It's a little naive i know..

Ok the play of water and reflection are great! With the rings did the droplets it's excellent. The trunk are so thin... suggest fragility!

Witaj Tomku! Zaskakujesz pomyslowoscia /bo zdjecie "do gory nogami"/. Bardzo mi sie podoba, a reszta... osrosc, kolor jak zwykle piekne. Gratulacje i caluski. BM

Hello Tom,

I have never been to Greece but I have Greek friends - even on TL the first person who added me as his favourite is Evn Rizo who comes from Greece. Indeed it was very sad and this image is an excellent tribute to that wonderful nation.

Beautifully composed and an excellent presentation. An extremely thoughtful commentary note in which a chapter of contemporary economic history is summerised. Well done brother.

Thanks for sharing beautiful thoughts and the visual.

Witaj Tomku !
Pozdrawiam
Lukasz
