Hello! I'm backkkkkk! After spending a month traveling to visit family and spending much needed quality time with my husband I am back as he has shipped out again for a couple months.

Alas my camera is in the shop, I had to send it in as the flash jammed ..dang it all, I feel like I've lost a piece of my anatomy!

This photo was taken early August when there were violent storms around. My husband and I sat out on the front deck and watched across the lake for a few hours and the sky was lighting up all across as far as we could see. We at first thought it was "heat lightening" as it had been quite humid and hot and we couldn't hear even one thunder boom even though the flashes were amazing. We weren't really seeing the lightening bolts much but the sky would just flash like a bomb went off over and over and over again! Eventually my husband went in to check the weather channels radar site and low and behold it did appear that Erie Pennsylvania was getting hit really hard with this huge storm. What was amazing is Erie is over 100 miles away from us and across Lake Erie and into the USA!!!

I wonder if the beginning of the universe was something similar to this ;-) Great shot and framing of it. The lightni is claerly visible in the middle of the light and the black surrounding the action is well included to create more drama on the scene. Nice colours and well presented image. Thanks Donna.

Hi Donna,
Very unusual capture. It almost looks like a painting.
Sunil

It is tenebrous, with perfect colors. I like a little more without the frame. But those are own tastes. I congratulate Much and thanks to you to share
