Possibly the last weekend of nice summer type weather this year to go to Waterton Lakes National Park.
The last few times we promised that next time we go, we'll climb the Bears Hump. I had climbed this trail many times before, but not lately. The last time I remember was when our son Otti was just a baby, and I carried him in a carrier on my chest. I would always race to the top. Not this time, though! About halfway up, I needed to catch my breath and rest for a while. Had to rest a few more times until we reached the summit.
Once there, I was OK and we started shooting pictures of the breathtaking (pun intended) view. While doing so, I spotted a couple of young guys climbing up the hard way on the rock face. Once on top, they talked to me without any hint of hard breathing!
In the Workshop, check a view overlooking Waterton lake from this spot in the picture.

Levels and curves, downsized, border/framing added.

Hello Otto !

Hum , we are talking serious landscapes here (^_^). Real fun and healthy to go up these trails. Lori Cannon , is enjoying that very much too in her area ( South of you guys ! ).

Lovely composition. The textures , teh varoious colors of the vegeation. Very attractive scene. An invitation to take a deap breath and enjoy ! For the Workshop the POV is as spectacular . It was just the wrong time of the tme with the sun straight against you. With the sun behind. Wooo Hooo! It would be breathtaking too.
Cheers!
Robert

Hi Otto,
Awesome photo! Nature is a very good landscape designer! The colors are so vivid and textures of rocks so palpable. I could want to be there! Very good framed too! Excellent! Annie

My God this is the decorum for an ad! Just put the product on the rock formation in first plan. Evoking solid... So why not a jeep or a truck... I suggest red! Eliminate the beer... It need water :)
I like the precision of it. Apparently in high altitude, those trees are survivors... Soil seem limited for them!

Hi Otto,

I love the relationship of the foreground stone to background mountain .. wonderful low point of view that amplifies the high power of this place.

take care,

John

I think it should get you out of breath climbing to the top of this. :-) We can get an idea of the distance from the trees. This is an excellent view of the mountain as well as the vista from the top posted in the WS.

TFS!
Reid

So you climbed all the way up there, right :-).

Hello Otto,
I can see a rough landscape, not much vegetation in those mountains!
And I also see a great autumn weather and possibly the beginning colours of the season...
