First off , this is the view that I was watching out behind my house yesterday. The clouds were coming across Ontario and had traveled all the way across the Great Lakes which I am totally sure that big one in the middle is why my husbands ship was anchored for weather for 12 hours..:o) We never did get any rain from this storm , just a bunch of wind.

Now the title to my photo? Jim Cantore works for "The Weather Channel" in the USA. I love that show , I am a weather "nerd" I used to leave the tv on the weather channel all the time when I lived in the states. I can't get it here in Canada :o(

anyhow I thought the clouds were pretty neat , they reminded me of the cloud formation my husband and I saw out in the middle of the lake this summer.

Thanks for visiting!

Hi Donna,
Very good capture of the clouds. Looks almost 3-dimensional. One very minor problem is that the horizon appears to be slightly tilted. That is minor. Great photo.

So, you only just avoided calamity from Above !
These clouds appear probably less threatening here than they would while sailing!!
Qiute an attractive presentation.

Hi Donna,
Nice layers in this shot, and the flat bottoms of the clouds lets us know there's an "invisible" layer as well.
Take care,
Karen

Awesome clouds!! Looks a bit like NZ's sky at times.

I have been hearing of your weather right now from Cam, and he said last Friday: "It is really cold here now but most of the time we have been here has been nice. Even had 34 degrees last Sunday, now it is single figures at times." And the teams are equal 4-4 with one day's sailing left!!

The wide angle lens really has a dramatic effect on this scene, especially showing this spectacular cloud formation. Great colours and composition! Well done!

Janice

Hi Donna,
....and what an awesome view this is. I am left spellbound. Those clouds are simply mind blowing. They look so low. Great shot.

Hi Donna

I like the heavy clouds hanging low. Then you have a strip of green and brownish field. Good shot.
