[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Here's some lichen on a dead tree in Kejimkujik National Park Seaside Adjunct. It was initially overexposed a bit, since I used the flash by mistake. I just messed around with the image on Curves in Photoshop until I got this dark feeling one that I liked.

Welcome to TE Mike. I like what you've done with the processing. Are you sure this is lichen - looks like an air fern to me?? Anyway, The detail is good and use of DOF interesting. Well done.

Thanks for your explanation.
But what's more atractive in that photo is exactly all things we can see or find on it.
Surprises wake up our imagination.
Great !

Sure I'm lichenin'. Added it to my new Lichens theme. You corrected the mistake in a way that rendered the nature photo into a mystery/phantasy movie scene. Good treatment!
