Moody & atmospheric with a dark & forboding look & feel. Just in time for Halloween! The dark blue sky & yellow starburst moon create a nice colour contrast. Tfs!

the moon although it appears at night need daylight exposure..what you see is the suns light reflected
its hard because then all the earth is black
this looks like a sun to me and if you hadnt noted and i saw the house lights..i would have thought it was a stopped down daylight shot...
moons are usually taken without any starburst f22 but i feel this is a winner due to the sheer improvisation you used including the tripod to get the solid shapes and sharpness

An excellent attempt at capturing the moon! I've found that the moon is moving so fast that a long exposure just makes it blurry, but the night shot NEEDS are sharp exposure.....It's maddening! You did a great job here! Love the star pattern on the moon!

Hi Donna, This is VERY nice! Would love to know how long the exposure time was. The blues here are superb! and am very surprised with the amount of color you was able to capture in the darkness. The points around the moon kinda reminds me of the Bethlehem Star. A very nice shot Donna!
