[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
sitting on the beach, lost in this mystical hour, my attention captured by a lone, evening kayaker. he paddles through the narrow passage, perhaps in hopes of reaching the end of the island before tonite's spectacular blazing sphere completely slips below the horizon. the sandpipers and plovers add their own staccato song to the soft gurgling sounds his paddle makes as he pulls himself through the waters. totally lost in thought he is, solitude his companion. so near and yet so far is he from the lazy pace of the boardwalk. aged couples and those newly in love, walk hand in hand, softly whispering their hopes and fears to each other, absorbed by the beauty of this night. pastel hues of salmon and pink, color us all like the unwitting participants of some bizarre monet painting...just for a moment, one perfect minute, we are all featured in the same painting, together, yet strangers each lost in their own world.

Nice colors and idea Jane! I perhaps would of not had the focul point of the person in the boat be so centrally located = there is not enough for the eye to grab on and move through the photo, but it's a cool shot. Hope that's ok to say. - Cheers, Vincent
