[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hello my Treklens Friends,

Most of the summer or at least when I've been home I've been attempting to get close enough to this Blue Heron to get a good shot of him. He lets me get just so close and then he does just what is in this photo, I have more shots of him flying away then I have with him in that typical arched neck fishing pose.

So now the weather is turning here on the Lakes, they are churning up and getting colder and I've seen the first glimpses of our late season birds the swans so I know my friend the blue heron is on his way to warmer climate. I put together these shots for my daughter as she loves these birds.

This probably will be my last post for awhile, I'm not sure how often I'll be on here for the next 30 days as hopefully late this afternoon I'll be picking my husband up at Nantiocoke Hydroelectic plant where his ship is delivering 30,000 tons of coal to keep the lights on ! Course its hockey season so I'll probably be around during the games...ha ha ha

I know what you mean, I have a lot of flying shots of our Great blue as well , or little tiny ones of him fishing. You have done a great job on these ones. Wonderful captures, presentation, colour and detail TFS

Hi Donna,

Damn those herons! I had a simiral experiance with a heron, fortunatly mine eventually behhaved its self. Good way of presenting a series of failed shots.
