Hi Friends!
Its been a very busy few weeks here since my Husband has come home. We've decided to move back to my homeland of Vermont USA! So we've got our house up for sale here on our beautiful lake erie! Very exciting for us as my two children are in Vermont along with many old friends. :o)

This photo was taken a few weeks ago while we had the neighbors over for a bonfire and supper here at our house. The fire was down on the beach as there you an see the men dutifully watching it while we ladies were preparing dinner...hmmmmm I thought it was funny that the chairs were parked by the "no parking" sign!!

I would buy your home, but unfortunately no able with wifes no moving well...Great shot there Donna. Glad you are going back to Vermont. I have many friends there I wish I could see again...maybe some day...Good symbolic shot for the moment.

Bonjour Donna,
I had thought that it was a meeting to protest against the work of the women :OD.
I imagine well the pleasure that you had to take this photography, with your husband and of the old friends as subject in the region which you seem to be fond of.
It's very funny, especially that one would say that behind the back of certain armchairs, there are papers which make think of lawsuits which could have been given by the local police force for illegal parking ;-))
Heartily, Corinne

Hello Donna,
So you're leaving your favourite subject Lake Erie!
However I'm pretty sure you'll find great motifs in Vermont too...
This is a fun composition, where the use of the fence adds interest value!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Donna
It is indeed funny they are by the no parking sign. When I opened it I chuckled at that before I read your notes, so you captured what you set out to do. The shot is just so familiar, with guys doing what they do. I like the head synchronization as well.

I'll call the cops Donna!!
It's a good shot! The guys doing what guys are best doing - watching the fire, while the ladies do all the work.
You will be pleased to be back closer to your family, especially while your husband is off at work...

hmmmm Anders is in the orange? yes?
oh I bet it will be hard to leave your Lake... But then being closer to home is a good thing.. but being further away from the lakes... But does this mean retirement is in the cards?

Ok back to the photo..... I think it is a wonderful photo that tells a time aged story... nice idea .. the sign makes it very funny....

Enjoy and keep me up to date.....

Hi Donna,

That's some big news, to hear you are moving to Vermont, good luck on selling the house :-)
About the picture, I like this, it's a funny composition and the scene looks interesting.
Good shot, thanks for sharing and have a good weekend!

Greetings, Nel

A relaxing shot. I'm sure he's as glad as you to be back at home for awhile.

No parking, huh? (^_^) Good one.

Nice example of relaxation after such a long wait.

Hi Donna.Beautiful photo and nice ,,NO PARKING"
Best regards, Bosko.

funny! it's just so incredibly random, that they happen to be sitting by a no parking sign. I wonder what they were all looking at... and who were the two seats reserved for?! good scene, i like the bright, happy grass at the bottom.

Hi Donna, this brought a smile to my face, men doing what they are supposed to do!

Hi Donna,
A very humorous shot . . . I love those kind! The guys are all looking left--is it a boat, a bird, or a babe?
Good luck to you in your home sale . . . hope the market is a bit kinder to the sellers where you are than it is here, and I hope it is a speedy process for you.
The best,
Karen

I hope to be doing that someday. Retirement must be great. TFS.

Rob

I find it cool!
It's nice to see the lines of green, of dry leafs , the line of road, the humain row and the contradiction about parking!
Me can say it's a minimalist beach! :)
