[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Small world!

This one is from our recent Tour de l'Ile ( Island Tour ) exactly one week ago. After our Office Christmas party and night at the La Goéliche Inn at Sainte-Pétronille, we took the opoortunity to make the tour of the Island before heading back home.

Of course , camera ready , I stopped here and there to capture a few spots that attracted my attention. i did the tour clockwise around the island.

Well this typical historical house is for Daniel Ryan ( Boonie ). Recently , he did a cruise up to Quebec City. Among his latest photos , he proposed us a few from his trip, including this great one here taken from his cruise ship. This house is actually the house next to the church (^_^).

Technically here : I converted it to make it look more like a Christmas card. Sorry for the($#&%$ poles and wires. Difficult to avoid them in the villages. I did clone here the useful but annoying garbage containers ( to the photographers ) (^_^).

With Photoshop CS . First Image uncropped and unfiltered. Highlights and shadows. increased the mid contrasts to the max. No color alterations. Just resized , framed.

That's a nice series you're doing here! Wonderful houses. Such a nice characteristic structure and all the snow just enhanced the mood.
Haha, good note on the containers. Strangely enough the electricity lines are not really an issue. Maybe because there are so many they just become part of the composition.

Quite a seasonal difference between the two pictures of the house. The architecture on the Island is fascinating. We really love the area and hope to return for a more leisurely visit of the countryside.

Cette grande maison ancestrale, j'ai tenté de la photographier je ne sais combien de fois et j'ai rencontré les mêmes difficultés que toi. Il y a tellement d'éléments dérangeants que j'ai renoncé. Il faudrait y accorder des heures de post traitement.
Ça reste une maud.. belle maison
