[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is another self-portrait that is part of a series where I tried to express a singly concept in each photo. As you can see, I am not shy about including pure blacks in my images when I feel it appropriate.

Pure blacks work well when they're needed, and here all the black is behind you - so that's a good thing!
Good luck with finding your enlightenment.
Great self portrait - different and interesting,
TFS,
Neil.

What a stunning shot, that tells you exactly what it means, without even a note or explanation. Very well planned, and presented.
You put your work where your mouth is.GREAT!

Fantastic composition, works great in mono.

Very powerful image. I really like the gradient that is created from light to dark and the composition of the entire frame is perfect. Great job.

A great shot!! With a lots of feelings in it! A LOVE the grey-black colours!! The black time behind you and the hope of clean/white times in front of you.... The message is obvious, very clear!

Well presented!
Janneke

You did a good job here Josh. Well composed, very dramatic light and pose, powerful use of negative space and darkness, and a nice symbolism to the shot.
Great work
